3. If you need a "daily dose" of uplift, Oswald Chamber's devotional is considered a classic and is one of my personal favorites as a devotional guide...short, inspirational, deep...mark it as a "favorite" and visit it daily!
4. www.biblegateway.com is the best site on the web to look up a bible verse, in almost any translation! Cut and paste into an encouraging letter to a friend a favorite verse or chapter! I use this in shut in ministries to encourage our people!
5. Comedy sites on the web can be a bit risky for good clean fun, but www.reverendfun.com covers clean fun and is very funny. One comic a day OR search the comics to email a friend a funny.
6. "Marriage and Family Resources" are from Dr. Gary Chapman who has authored the "Love Languages" books for children, teens, and adults. Our new church library has the new love language books for children, AND the "Five Languages of Apology" by Dr. Chapman...check it out!! Excellent reading! AND the site will have Marriage Enrichment Retreats for 2008...
7. MVNU is the place to be at 18! Our denominational school is an outstanding liberal arts university located on a beautiful campus with a brand new president! Check out the courses for your teen! A Christian education with godly professors is an invaluable start for teens seeking purpose and meaning in life.
8. OLIVET Nazarene University is my alma mater where my daughters are now attending. The largest of the Nazarene schools, it has much to offer in ministry and professional training.
9. Holiness Today is our denominational magazine that has tremendous articles on how to live the holy life in a secular world, what Nazarene Missionaries are doing to reach a secular world, and inspiring articles, photos and news of our holiness movement! It is available as a printed magazine with these "extras" online to help us in our Christian walk!
